This is a very interesting 1942 P with 35% silver wartime Jefferson nickel minted at the Philadelphia mint.
Looking at the obverse, the left side shows a major die break between the "ST" in Trust and continuing thru Jeffersons head like he had a lobotomy. With additional cracks on the right side of the obverse by the date and Liberty letters. Let's not forget about the giant hole in his head!!
The reverse looks like the Jefferson Memorial was struck by a lightning bolt, tearing it apart.
Overall this is a great mint error for anyone who wants to add to their collection.
