"Alfons Borrel was born in Barcelona in 1931. Attends the Military service in Mallorca and here he becomes a frequent visitor of Anglada Camarassa's studio where he meets and enter into contact with several Mallorca’ artists.
After this experience, he coursed the Escola Superior de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi and in the Sixties he took part in the foundation and first actions of the “ Gallot “ group, well known for avant-garde activities in Barcelona, in the line of what was called action painting."
