This 3 piece set of massive chisels is useful for large framing work when working on very deep mortises, where blade strength is required. The set 3 piece set contains the following sizes: 1", 1-1/2" and 2" .They have the square sides found on traditional firmer chisels. All come with 9 inch Ash handles and 10-1/2 inch blades that are over 3/8 inch thick near the ferrules. Overall lengths are 19-/2 inches. Have a traditional bolsters, double steel hoops and leather shock washers. Forged from special Sheffield steel to ensure a perfect balance of toughness, edge retention and sharpness. Each chisel is diamond hardness tested before leaving the factory. Each chisel comes fitted with protective leather tip guards.
