Traditional blacksmith craft: Made in Solingen, Germany. Güde knives are forged, sharpened, finished, tested, and packed in up to 55 manual steps at the factory. • ONE OF ONE. Each knife is one of one, the cut from the pear trees is unique and different in every knife
• CRAFTED. It all starts in the drop forge: slit pieces are cut from an 8 meter long bar steel (chrome, vanadium, molybdenum knife steel). They are heated up to around 1050 °C and forged in the die with 3 to 4 hammer blows. Finally, the blade blank is stamped out of the forging.
