Rattus is a medium-strategy game set in Europe during the Black Death (1347–1350). Players settle in different regions and try to keep their populations alive as the plague spreads. They enlist help from medieval roles like Peasants, Monks, Merchants, Knights, Witches, and Kings—each with unique abilities—but rats can strike anyone. When the plague subsides, the player with the largest surviving population wins. The game was a 2011 Lucca Games Best Family Game winner and a 2011 Golden Geek nominee.
