Rhino Rack Backbone 2 Base Mounting System, Black (RJKB2)

The Rhino-Rack Backbone is an interior structure set up on the inside of the JEEP JK Wrangler. Two plates on each side of the JEEP's Hard Top are connected with the interior frame extending your roof line to carry heavier loads with the max load rating of up to 100kg or 220lb.

• INCREASED CAPACITY - Strengthen your Jeep JK Wrangler 2 Door hard top so that you can mount a Pioneer Platform & increase your cargo capacity. The Backbone adds structural strength, enabling a higher roof load limit & improves cargo carrying ability.
• FOUR MOUNTING POINTS - The four mounting points (two on each side) of the roof system add mountable capacity and weight distribution for a Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform, Vortex Bars or Heavy Duty Bars. Fits your 20017 to 2018 Jeep Wrangler 2 Door (JK).
• NO INTERFERANCE - Won't interfere with the removal of your Freedom panels or hard top, since the kit bolts to your hard top both internally with the reinforced structure and externally via the mounting brackets.
• CARRY MORE - 76% More load capacity (114lbs more) is what you get compared to a roof rack mounted directly to the hard top. The factory non-stationary cap is 150lbs, which means you get an additional 114 lbs carrying capacity with the Rhino-Rack Backbone.
• INTERNAL BRACKETS - Internal brackets install around the window frame and bear the weight from the roof, carrying load from the roof down into the vehicle's steel body, greatly reducing roof load pressure. Parked load massive 795 lbs. Moving load 265 lbs.
• INSTALLATION - Single person installation. Instructions included, video also available online. Some drilling required. All hardware included.
• ADD A PIONEER PLATFORM - We recommend adding the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform for maximum roof load area. Add a 52111F or 52111, RLT600 legs, and Quick Mount Fit Kit !MFK06 sold separately. Also sold as kit # JC-00844. This is the backbone only.
